Recruitment: Operation Shift Leader

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsibility of Overall supervision and management of all operators:

  • In-charge of operating the entire plant for eight (8) hours.
  • To ensure the efficient & reliable operation of all systems and comply with the environmental standard.
  • Resolve the operation troubles by making critical decisions, esp. in times of emergency.
  • Prepare/review turn-over at the start of the shift and assist the team members to carry out operation manipulations under trouble free of equipment or staffs.
  • Preside in the Daily Morning Operation Summary Meeting and report the operation event and the trouble memos to a Station General Manager, an Operation Director, a Maintenance Director and other relevant personnel.
  • Coordinate with EVN Power Management Center and Area Control Center on daily power dispatch.
  • Supervise Operators to conduct the periodic test to secure the reliability of plant and advise to the team members on the result of their operational test.
  • Prepare/Review operating the procedures and the necessary plant documentations.
  • Responsible for the training of new staffs and the refresher training of his group.
  • Implement Lock-outs/Tag-outs System of the plant, and the safety induction regularly.
  • Supervisor the Coal management and the Coal inventory and check the operation status of Coal handling system.
  • Perform other tasks and functions that may be assigned from time to time.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervision of operators.
  • Overall supervision of plant operation; Start-up and Shutdown.
  • Shift Turnover preparation & review.
  • Preside Daily Operation Meeting.
  • Coordination with EVN.
  • Over-all in-charge of the Lock-out and Tag-out System.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required (mechanical, electrical or other engineering).
  • Require actual super critical coal power plant experience as Control Room Operator and Local Operator, especially, Commissioning experience.
  • Prefer with the work experience of Once through Boiler, Turbine, FGD, SCR, ASH and Coal handling system.
  • At least 10 years related work experience or 3 years as Control room operator or at least 1 year as Shift leader for more than Super Critical Coal Power Plant.
  • Prefer a completion certificate of training course related to Super or Ultra Critical Coal Power Plant Operation.
  • Prefer a completion certificate of training course related to Coal power plant maintenance work like I&C, thermodynamic theory, Electrical equipment, Vibration, Turbine, Boiler, Environmental facilities.
  • Prefer a completion certificate of English training course.
  • At least, Interpret P&ID, Single line Diagram for more than Super Critical Coal Power Plant, Computer skills, and ability to manipulate HMI for Siemens and Mitsubishi DCS system, Basic supervisory skill.
  • Calculate the plant efficiency and hold the experience of the coal blending and the coal management.
  • Possess business level communications skills in English (written and verbal) and be computer literate. Able to communicate/discuss any topic in the business environment.
