On October 3, 2022, Vung Ang II Thermal Power LLC (VAPCO) and Ky Loi’s Youth Union co-organised a campaign to clean up Hai Phong’s beach on Ky Loi commune, Ky Anh town and surrounding areas of Vung Ang II Project, in responding to the world cleaner campaign in 2022.
In this event, there were authorities and companies in the area, and Ky Loi’s community responded to the campaign, including Ha Tinh Customs and Port Authority, Doosan EPC, Pacific and subcontractors of the Vung Ang II Project. More than 100 youth union members and Ky Loi’s people have collected considerable waste in this area.
The event will be held quarterly to spread the message of environmental protection to all businesses, employees and local people around the project area, calling on joining hands with practical actions to reduce the burden on nature and the environment, make the world cleaner, raise awareness of Ky Loi’s people about environmental protection, discharge of waste reduction into the atmosphere and coastal areas.
During the campaign, the representative of VAPCO also presented ten garbage cans to Ky Loi’s youth union to collect trash in public places that have a large amount of waste, such as Hai Phong village’s Market, Hai Phong 1&2’s hall, Hai Thanh, the gates of kindergartens, primary schools and along the roads of the people.
