Recruitment: Maintenance Director (Candidate Type: Expats)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Director is responsible for the entire maintenance aspects of the power plant. He is responsible for selecting, training, and management of Maintenance Department personnel for the reliable, efficient, safe, and environmentally compliant operation of the plant. He fosters the team spirit by coordinating Maintenance Department activities with other plant departments.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop, implement and direct the policy, procedures and practices required for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the power generation systems and equipment.
  • Responsible for the maintenance obligations of the Plant such as the scheduled maintenance, the unscheduled maintenance and the routine maintenance.
  • Oversee plant operations and dispatch in accordance with utility requirements and according to the provisions of the Power Purchase Agreement.
  • Taking over the power plant upon completion, managing pending punch list items, overseeing warranty defects, and resolving outstanding construction issues.
  • Prepare periodic reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • At least BA in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering or a related engineering field. The candidate with Master’s degree and/or a Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly valued.
  • Must have at least 15 years of experience in thermal power plants, including extensive knowledge of supercritical coal plants (minimum 10 years) OR at least 3 years of experience in a managerial position (Manager or above) in technical support and maintenance for supercritical coal power plants.
  • Good command of English (written & verbal) and be computer literate.
